Chin Hung Machinery & Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., established in 1975, has grown into one of Taiwan`s largest manufacturers of a wide range of electric discharge machines. The company is famed for its own brand of CHMER in the world EDM arena.
Based on the management concept of "integrity, Growth, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Security," Ching Hung is dedicated to developing advanced manufacturing technology and focusing on the development of high-quality and reliable EDMs. Over the past decades, the company has tilted to develop CNC (computerized numerically controlled) EDMs.

With an in-house research and development department, Ching Hung has made big breakthroughs in developing user-friendly CNC controllers along with EDM power supplies. The self-developed CNC controllers and power supplies have help it save production costs.
The company notes its in-house software department can optimize the cutting performance of its EDM-series products between the power supply and controller. It also provides end-users with specific software for special applications.
On Nov. 4, 2005, the company just celebrated its 30-year anniversary by announcing the introduction of its first precision bridge-type CNC wire cut EDM equipped with linear motors. Thanks to its efforts to develop advanced manufacturing technologies ever since its inception, the company won the "Machining Tool Research & Development, Innovation" award by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry in March 2005.
The ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001-certified company says it would develop more reliable machines and step up after-sale services to customers who have dealt with the company for the past three decades.
At present, the company has 500 workers in five manufacturing plants the island over. It is currently capable of rolling out 1,500 EDMs per year.
The company mainly exports products to the U.S. and European nations. One of its most popular products is the all-in-one compact type wire cut EDM which features high rigidity in column structure to match a heavy loading of large workpiece, new compact design to save space of nearly 25% compared to conventional models.
